On April 2, 2011, the Springdale Race Course hosted the annual, and historic, Carolina Cup. In addition to drawing the equestrian enthusiast, college students and the like came out for a day of steeplechase races, tailgating and fraternizing, all the while decked out in their finest preppy attire.
